And finding your audience is like finding the right key for a lock—until you have the right fit, you’ll just keep rattling the door without making progress.
But… once we find them, we then need a "step 2..."
We need to ensure our communication aligns with their needs.
The Ugly Truth is Most People Aren’t Ready to Buy
Chet Holmes noted in his book, The Ultimate Sales Machine, only ~3% of a buying audience is typically receptive and ready to make a purchase.
The other 97%? They’re either window-shopping or haven’t even shown up at the store yet!
✍ So if you’ve nailed down where your audience is, the next big question is: are you speaking their language?
Because if you’re not, you might as well be shouting into the void.

So, to summarize:
Can’t find your audience online = no audience
Misaligned communication with your audience = no engagement from your audience
Chirp, Chirp
No one likes crickets when they’re trying to close deals, right?
When we market, if there is no communication with an engaged audience, there is no potential for a successful outcome.
That’s rough!
We should fixate on this… but… many of us don’t even acknowledge our audience as a problem.
It’s typically someone else’s fault…
